Rowing Course "Beetzsee"
The rowing course „Beetzsee“ is the most famous and significant sport venue in Brandenburg-an-der-Havel. Established in 1969, it repeatedly has been scene of national and international tournaments of various water sport events. The continuous renovation and modernization of the natural rowing course began in the mid-nineties. It has approximately 5000 seats for spectators. The town Brandenburg-an-der-Havel and the State of Brandenburg together have invested considerable funds in the extension of buildings, the improvement of infrastructure and in the installation of highly modern technical equipment.
Thanks to the unique location in the outdoors, the excellent technical conditions and numerous dedicated organizers and helpers, the rowing course „Beetzsee“ in Brandenburg is an outstanding international venue for World and European Championships.
More than 10 000 spectators attended the German National Championships here in 1998.
