Brandenburg an der Havel

The city of Brandenburg-an-der-Havel is a town with a very particular air that captures the excitement and imagination of visitors and guests but is also characterized by its favorable location to transport facilities and infrastructure.

Brandenburg-an-der-Havel is located near the national highway Route 2 approximately 30km from the state capital of Potsdam and about 70km from the national capital of Berlin, Germany. It is also located near the main railway route Berlin – Magdeburg – Hannover, and is approximately 40 minutes from the center of Berlin.

Widely surrounded by scenic lakes and rivers, the historic town on the waterfront and its surroundings offer an ideal spot for water sports of all kind. Regarding water activities, this area is constantly growing in importance.

For this reason the City of Brandenburg is a logical choice as the location for the 2010 Barefoot Water Ski World Championships.
